Breakdown of the ESL Finals decklists

Intro
Since the decklists have been recently released, I decided to put together some data analysis. It's interesting to use tournament data to watch the meta evolve, so I have put together some scripts to generate some decklist statistics.

All up there are 24 decks from 8 finalists so let's break it down. Hope some of this is interesting, I particularly like looking at the decklist variations.

Classes Played and Deck Types
First up the class distribution, along with the type of deck which was played.

Decks and Variations
Each decklist was compared with one another to determine the amount of types and variations. This is organised by grouping decks together that share a minimum number of cards (in this case I used 23 as that number).

Then once we have the groups we generate a base list, which contains all the cards that appear in at least half of the deck in that type. Each deck in the group can now be expressed as a variation of changes to the median of the list.

This method does give some odd results, as for example the Mech Mage and Oil Rogue lists having 31 cards, and the variations are taking away from it. Also the Shaman decks were all too dissimilar to be compared without reducing the group number.

Thanks for the analysis! Very interesting to see. is an interesting top 10 card, though I suppose it's explained by the high prevalence of Druid.

, , and are no surprise, though.

The graphic says 2 Aggro and 1 Midrange Hunter but the following section says 1 Aggro and 2 Midrange.

Also I would call the Druids Midrange Druid. "Ramp" usually refers to the decks with .

Can we see the decklist for the token druid? I might be dumb, but I don't see it anywhere.

That was for Darkwonyx Druid with and , but it ended up getting bundled up with all the other druids.
